Nature's Kennel: Dog Sledding

Nature’s Kennel, owned by Ed and Tasha Stielstra, is located near McMillan in the Eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  Nature’s Kennel is home to over 150 outstanding Alaskan Huskies. Both Ed and Tasha successfully compete in distance and mid-distance races throughout the nation, and around the world.  Ed has finished Alaska’s Iditarod seven times, and both Ed and Tasha are past UP 200 Champions.  In addition to racing, the Stielstras operate a touring business to teach others the joy of running sled dogs.  Each year, Ed and Tasha speak to thousands of adults and children across the Midwest about the dedication and teamwork it takes to fulfill a dream.
